In order to protect the high quality of the journal and to ensure scientific reliability, the editors of "Eastern European Studies" introduce a procedure to counteract illegal practices, which include ghostwriting and guest authorship.

The authors of papers sent to "Eastern European Studies" are obliged to submit a declaration on granting a license to use copyrights. The statement also includes a declaration regarding ghostwriting and guest authorship.

The authors certify that they have the copyright to the submitted papers, they also indicate the participation of third parties in its creation, including co-authors by name, as well as sources of financing, the contribution of scientific research institutions, associations and other entities - if the paper constitutes the effect of a research project.
